If you are diabetic or suspect that you may be suffering from diabetes, help is available. With regular checks and advice offered by your GP, nurse and other professionals, you can learn how best to live with the condition.
St. Luke's Centre hosts a weekly nurse-led service that facilitates self-management and enables people with diabetes to make the necessary adjustments to remain well, reducing mortality, morbidity and the need for hospitalisation. The clinic will also help monitor your blood pressure, urine, weight and glucose levels.
These clinics are organised and run by Southend Hospital. Please contact Kristie Young on 01702 435555 ext. 7082 for more information on how to book.
