"Children are a gift from the Lord" - Psalm 127:3
Maternity is a very special time, but it isn't all easy. The church is here for all, from conception until burial, which is why we are pleased to be able to offer expecting parents with the help they need by working alongside the NHS. If you are at all worried during this important time, please remember Psalm 55:22 - “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
Around 4,000 babies are born every year in Southend, and the NHS is committed to helping their parents through maternity both in hospitals and in the community. The St. Luke's Centre hosts weekly midwifery clinics to help parents-to-be prepare for their big day, and all that comes after.
